The David Hunter Situation
Before we start this, I want to extend my condolences to the David Hunter family. No one should ever have to die this way and at such a young age. I hope you can forgive me one day for writing this blog as I have to emancipate the truth from the lies.
THE REAL HEROS
This post is dedicated to the men and women who make up all mental health services, PSU, and addiction treatment. You all are the unsung heroes and warriors that no one ever hears about that work tirelessly behind the scenes and make the most significant difference at a place as horrendous as MDC. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Karma is such a bitch.
David Hunter. Now. Are we all talking about the same David Hunter? Because the David Hunter that KOBTV and KRQE are talking about was an “amazing corrections officer who we will dearly miss”. Then, on the MDC Facebook page, Hunter’s co-workers describe him as a “hero,” a “fallen angel,” and “we lost such a dedicated soul”…Ok…this is me trying not to lose it…I’m serious…let me collect my thoughts…ARE YOU PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR F**KING MINDS?
I know for a fact that David Hunter was one of the meanest corrections officers there was. Period. In the history of MDC, it is without a doubt a three-way tie between Hunter, Delgado, and of course, Leon. Ah, Leon, I hope you are living it up on the Rez and good for you for making it out in one piece. Of course you can’t go to public places anymore, but, you survived. And Roxanne, don’t PC. For this purpose, we will focus on David Hunter.
What Qualifies Me To Write This
- I was the RDT Detail for about a year from 2016-to 2017. Hunter was the rover a couple of times a week. He would pick me up and take me back once a week.
- Since Details can’t speak to COs, give their opinion, say hi, or do much of anything but clean up vomit, urine, feces, and colostomy bags, I listened.

This short blog is not an opinion, nor am I speculating, guessing, wondering, or even hoping for the truth. I know the truth. So do you, MDC. And you should all be ashamed of yourselves for lying. The local news stations should be sorry for believing MDC (who, by the way, is probably thankful that Hunter flew off a cliff because at some point, they were going to pay out of their a**holes in wrongful death lawsuits for hiring a psychopath when said psychopath beats an inmate to death). The COs should be horrified for exaggerating Hunter’s legend on FaceBook, really guys? Come on. Remember, you all would sit and stare as Hunter would dehumanize an inmate, call them the “N-Word” if they were African American, or take them down because they were kicking Fentanyl or Heroin and they were too loud. Then, you all would laugh like it was the funniest thing since seeing Minnie Mouse selling her ass up and down Central to pay for Mickey’s crack habit. That’s how funny it was to you. I can’t stop laughing.
The Evil One
Evil comes in all shapes and sizes, and so do promotions. Since Hunter had gotten so many write-ups from staff, other COs, PSU warriors, and inmates, MDC decided to promote him to Sargent and put him in CERT. Does that make any sense to you? No, I’m serious. So, MDC, you knowingly put a man who hasn’t had a psych evaluation since the Truman Administration, a racist (which we will discuss next), and a loose cannon on MDC’s “SWAT” team, CERT?
Whoever thought up that one and didn’t look at his application will get a promotion next week! That’s how we roll. Besides these prima donnas having egos the size of Mickey’s crack rock, they have to be sharp, attentive, and not want to kill people. Like normal people. I would love to see Hunter’s mental health evaluations, wouldn’t you? Everyone is nodding, still in shock that they are reading this. I’m sure his files are all gone along with his existence there. MDC can say whatever they want to. Bottom line David Hunter was a walking liability. Keep nodding.

FYI, like you didn’t know this. David Hunter was also a racist, no not because he looked like J.D. “Jed” Clampett’s lost cousin, but because I heard him (so did you MDC) talk mad sh** to African American inmates, calling them “boy,” “son,” and the “N-Word.” But, again, everyone at MDC knew about this guy, don’t lie. This guy didn’t discriminate. He hated everyone. I even saw him verbally and emotionally abuse PSU, who does that? MDC, you must be so proud.
Today, and fifty years from now, MDC is a much better place when bad CO’s are removed. Whether they remove themselves or get removed, the tension is removed. No doubt David Hunter had tons of individuals he picked on, and now, those individuals can come to work with a sense of relief that their bully is no longer there. And MDC can thank their lucky ass stars Hunter didn’t kill an inmate and the to all of the corrections officers: really? Come on guys!
