Felonology is the first to report that corrections officer Tavarez brought in an almost lethal dose of Posole on Christmas Day. Tavarez, a ten-plus-year vet at the Metropolitan Detention Center, made the stew at home in a large stockpot and brought it in for the staff to enjoy. Unfortunately, many team members at MDC couldn’t work the following morning due to food poisoning and other stomach-related illnesses. MDC will not report if Tavarez has been disciplined or placed on admin leave. MDC is already short-staffed, and to lose half your workforce by serving them, rotten Posole defeats this purpose. They are there to do a simple objective, protect the inmates from the general public, not bring in homemade food and get everyone sick.
